Week 2
2008-06-13 Lulu King
We abort the multi action mode design and simplify the game control. Now it's a 3D platform game without pre-build platform. :) You have to attract objects, free objects to build your own platform in FPS way, and then just jump like a platform game.
It's fun!
jj has started the design of Lulu King:

Looks like a king now
We purchased Neoaxis indie license today. The free non-comercial-license version is great and totally meets all our needs. We pay for it to show our support to the engine.

We rebuild the prototype based on new game play, and happy with what we have got inspite some new problems. One of the problems is that it might be too hard for a beginner which we need to tune later. Another problem is the performance, because of the dynamic physics simulation, the frame rate is too low, good news is that there're many aspects from which it could be optimized.
Jj redesigned Lulu King, and started the concept design of first level. We like this visual style.

Start to make the first level.
Neoaxis is still version0.561 and lack of enough technical documentation, I have to go through trial and error process for some technical issues. Luckily, the whole API architecture of Neoaxis is relatively easy to understand. Neoaxis has an active forum, and Ivan, the author of this engine shows up in the forum almost everyday and answers questions, which is very helpful.
